What is Fishtown Choir?

Fishtown Choir is an impromptu adult choir of friends and neighbors singing the hits, together. It's a way for Philadelphians to congregate and engage in the millennia-old tradition of communal singing (and drinking).

How Do I Join?

Easy. Just show up. You can also buy tickets in advance to make sure your spot is reserved. No formal training necessary. Everyone with a voice is invited.

What Happens at a Choir Session?

We start with a little communing and a little drinking (never hurts to do prior to public singing). Then we get started rehearsing the songs for the evening. We conclude with a stirring choral rendition of the songs we just learned. We typically do one main song that has more involved parts and harmonies, and then a bonus song more in the

"choir karaoke" vein.

What Songs Do We Sing?

Only the hits! We sing the songs you know and love. Even if the song may be new to you we guarantee you'll love it by the end.

Where Does This Take Place?

Sessions take place at different venues in the Fishtown neighborhood. Make sure to get on our list so you'll know when and where the next Session takes place.

Who Are You?

Fishtown Choir is led by Fishtown residents Melissa Schepers and Brian Adoff. One a Gen Z Philly public music school teacher, the other a Gen X former music store nerd.
